Trump: Unborn Baby is a Person ‘As The Process Goes Along’

Billionaire real estate developer and best selling author Donald Trump said he is strongly “pro-life” but did not say specifically when he thinks a baby in the womb becomes a person, answering that it occurs “as the process,” the pregnancy, “goes along more and more.”

During an Aug. 11 interview on CNN’s New Day, host Chris Cuomo referenced last week’s GOP primary debate and noted that Senator Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) stressed that life begins at conception. Cuomo added that Roe v. Wade “says 20 weeks” and “there are different theories that other people have.”

Cuomo then asked Trump,  “When do you believe that the unborn is a person and deserves the right?”

Trump said, “Well, I certainly think, as the process goes along more and more, and a lot of people are talking about the 20 weeks and certainly there — but absolutely, as the process goes along.”
