ObamaCare is here to stay, the president said in his weekly address, just two days after the Supreme Court upheld provisions of his signature healthcare law.
“On Thursday, when the Court upheld a critical part of the Affordable Care Act, it was a victory for hardworking Americans all across this country whose lives are more secure because of this law,” President Obama said.
“The Affordable Care Act still stands, it is working, and it is here to stay.”
His speech came after Thursday’s landmark 6-3 Supreme Court that upheld the expansion of health care subsidies into states that didn’t set up local exchanges.
Republicans, and the three conservative justices who opposed the majority ruling, criticized the decision over the past two days as judicial overreach.
