Pentagon Joins Fight Against Ebola Outbreak

The Pentagon will send a portable 25-bed hospital to Liberia to help care for healthcare workers who contracted Ebola there.

The move represents the U.S. military’s first major foray into Ebola relief in West Africa, where the virus has killed more than 2,000 people in five countries.

Health workers and disaster experts had recommended that the Department of Defense get involved on behalf of the U.S. government.
