Girl Scouts Spurn $100K After Donor Demands ‘Transgender Girls’ Can’t Use

Although they were initially “thrilled” over a $100,000 donation, the Girl Scouts of Western Washington decided to return the gift when the donor stipulated that it could not be used for transgender girls.

“We have these little clapper thingies, so the clappers go mad when we get that kind of gift,” the council’s CEO Megan Ferland told Seattle Met. “We were thrilled.”

However, after news of Caitlyn Jenner’s transition broke, the donor sent Ms. Ferland a letter, with this request: “Please guarantee that our gift will not be used to support transgender girls. If you can’t, please return the money.”
