Ex-CFO on Food Stamps 2 Years After Making Anti-Chick-fil-A Video

Adam Smith, the former chief financial officer of a medical device company, says he now lives on food stamps and can’t get a job two years after posting a viral video in which he berated a Chick-fil-A employee over CEO Dan Cathy’s stance against same-sex marriage.

Smith was earning $200,000 a year and had $1 million in stock options when he was fired. He lost his salary and the stock options.

Company officials told him they had been receiving bomb threats over his video in which Smith berates drive-thru clerk Rachel Elizabeth, telling her, “I don’t know how you live with yourself and work here.”
