Carson On His Pre-Debate Nerves: ‘Brain Surgery Is Much More Difficult’

Ben Carson wasn’t too nervous about taking the debate stage Thursday night.

“Brain surgery is much more difficult,” the famed neurosurgeon told The Daily Caller just hours before a record television audience is expected to watch him and nine other Republican candidates duke it out inside the Quicken Loans Arena.

Carson told reporters here his plan to stand out includes just “being myself and not being a politician and not screaming and yelling and trying to get attention.”

Carson did admit the process of preparing for the debate has been a bit overwhelming, but he’s not worried.
