Abortion Law Expected to Save 600 Babies Yearly

A new state law in Kansas is setting precedent by outlawing “dismemberment” abortions, effectively taking one tool in the abortionists’ box of lethal procedures off the table, according to Operation Rescue.
And the impact will be significant, even though the law is only in Kansas for now, they said.

“Over 600 lives will be protected every year in Kansas,” Cheryl Sullenger of Operation Rescue told WND on Friday.

Sullenger, with OR President Troy Newman, created the guidebook “Abortion Free: Your Manual for Building a Pro-Life America One Community at a Time.”

The law bans the common second-trimester procedure called dilation and evacuation, redefining it as “dismemberment abortion.”

Republican Gov. Sam Brownback signed the law, taking his state where few in the previously pro-abortion state figured it would go. A previous governor was the radically pro-abortion Kathleen Sebelius, who entertained late-term abortionist George Tiller.

The new law takes effect July 1.
